Nadia Fanchini, is born in Brescia (Montecampione di Artogne, Val Camonica), and is member of the Italian national Ski Team from 2003 and athlete of the Fiamme Gialle Sporting Group.
She made her debut in the World Cup in Alta Badia in 2003 and she won three times the juniors championships: 2004 in Maribor in Super G; 2005 in Bardonecchia in downhill and giant slalom with a silver medal in supergiant. In the same year, she ranked fourth in the Super G World the Cup of Bormio/Santa Caterina.
On 1° December 2006 she obtained the first podium in World Cup, with a bronze medal in the downhill in Lake Luise. The gold medal arrived at the same place in 2008 in Super G, a category in which Italians have not won since 2003.
In the World Championships in Val d’Isère in February 2009, she classified ninth in Super G, while in downhill she won the bronze medal.
She ended the season ninth of the general world cup but qualifying in second position at Super G, losing the cup at the last race.
